Position Summary:

The person in this new position will serve as the program coordinator and primary contact for the Bacteriology Masters program. This role will be critical to the ongoing success and expected expansion of the Masters degree. The Bacteriology Masters Program Coordinator oversees activities related to recruiting, admissions, advising, teaching and social activities for prospective, current and former Bacteriology Masters students.

The department of Bacteriology includes approximately 265 undergraduate majors, 32 Masters students, and 50 PhD students. The department is home to 17 faculty, 30 Academic Staff including 5 instructional staff, and 10 support staff. This position will serve the Bacteriology Master's populations and represent the department on campus committees, professional workshops, and graduate school events.

Degree and Area of Specialization:

Bachelor's degree required. Required experience in biological sciences, and/or academic programs, and/or undergraduate or graduate advising.

Minimum Years and Type of Relevant Work Experience:

Three or more years of experience in an academic setting preferred. Title prefix is dependent on relevant work experience.
