The Department of Management at the University of North Carolina Wilmington invites applications for a tenure track faculty positions at the rank of Assistant Professor beginning Fall 2021. The primary responsibilities for this position include teaching undergraduate and Master’s level courses in human resource management, conducting scholarly research that results in quality peer-reviewed publications, student advising, and service to advance the mission of the department, school, university and the human resources profession. Instructional duties include teaching three classes per semester.

Minimum Education and Experience Requirements

Ph.D. in Human Resource Management from an AACSB accredited institution or Ph.D. in a highly related field from an accredited university

Applicants who are ABD for the terminal degree may be considered if degree is completed by August 2021.

Preferred Education, Knowledge, Skills & Experience

Secondary teaching interest areas in International HR and/or Strategic HR
Demonstrated ability to publish in top-ranked journals

Primary Function of Organizational Unit

The Management Department supports the Bachelor of Science in Business Administration and has concentrations in Management and Leadership, Entrepreneurship, and Human Resource Management.
