Job Description Summary

The Department of Computer Science and Software Engineering ( CSSE ), situated within the Samuel Ginn College of Engineering, invites applications for multiple tenure-track faculty positions. We seek candidates at the Assistant Professor level, although outstanding candidates at a senior level will also be considered. A Ph.D. degree in computer science, software engineering, or a closely related field must be completed by the start of appointment. Responsibilities include research, graduate student supervision, graduate and undergraduate teaching, and service. The application review process will begin December 1 2020 and continue until successful candidates are identified. Selected candidates must be able to meet eligibility requirements to work legally in the United States at the time of appointment for the proposed term of employment. Minimum Qualifications

A Ph.D. degree in computer science, software engineering or a closely related field at time of employment. Excellent communication skills are required. Selected candidates must be able to meet eligibility requirements to work legally in the United States at the time of appointment for the proposed term of employment.

Desired Qualifications

While applications from candidates with expertise in any area of computer science will be considered, focus areas are Human-Computer Interaction ( HCI ), Systems, Software Engineering (SE), and Data Science. We are especially interested in candidates with expertise in multiple areas such as HCI & SE, HCI & AI, SE & Security, and Systems & Quantum Computing.
