We invite applications for a postdoctoral fellow position in the Psychology Department at Virginia Commonwealth University working with Dr. Michael Southam-Gerow and his team. The position will be to serve as a postdoctoral scientist for a new project working closely with multiple state agencies to provide consultation and services to the agencies related to the implementation of multiple evidence-based programs in concert with the roll-out of the state’s behavioral health redesign.

In the first year, the focal projects include: (a.) consultation with multiple state agencies related to identifying best-fit EBPs and planning their implementation, (b.) development of a state-wide credentialing database, and (c.) planning and management of trainings for select EBPs, as determined by state agencies.

These projects will be conducted in the context of an active dissemination and implementation research lab headed by Dr. Southam-Gerow and with graduate and undergraduate student researchers. As well, Dr. Southam-Gerow has active collaborations with several other researchers at VCU and at other universities. The postdoctoral fellow position may include additional collaborations, as desired, as well as manuscript development and submission.

The position will be for one-year with the possibility of renewal.

Required Qualifications

PhD in Clinical Psychology or closely related field

Preferred Qualifications

The best candidates will be those with (a.) a strong interest in dissemination and implementation research, (b.) commitment to collaborative and community-engaged research, (c.) strong communication skills, and (d.) strong database skills.
