The Recruiter supports VCU’s Executive Search Team ( EST ) and its portfolio of high level staff searches. This position will support comprehensive recruitment and employment strategies to attract and source candidates, with the primary focus on senior and executive level staff searches.The Recruiter will assist in the full life cycle of sourcing and selecting candidates as well as building and managing a talent pool of both passive and active candidates, in order to fill open positions by establishing standards and protocols to deliver extraordinary recruitment and sourcing services to clients. The Recruiter will also assist in compiling organized, professional documents for search committees including candidate summaries, screening interviews and results, interview agendas and more. The Recruiter will screen applications and make calls to prospective candidates. The Recruiter will create a diverse high-quality candidate pool based on current and future University needs.
The role will strive to find top diverse talent to support all facets of the University. The Recruiter will have a significant impact in attracting the next generation of staff at VCU . The ideal candidate will be a professional with significant, demonstrated experience in building and maintaining trusted relationships in a complex environment and contributing to a high performing team.

Required Qualifications

●Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources, Business, Communications, or related field, or equivalent experience
●Minimum of 3 years experience sourcing and recruiting in large, complex organizations with multiple types of skill sets
●Experience drafting and editing recruitment advertising to attract the most qualified and experienced applicants
●Advanced knowledge of talent acquisition strategies and full cycle recruitment
●Committed to diversity, equity and inclusion and the ability to identify and source diverse candidate pools
●Experience working with applicant management and recruitment systems with the ability to stay abreast of emerging technology trends
●Strong interpersonal and relationship management skills, ability to foster long term relationships with candidates
●Experience with MS Office products
Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
●The ability to develop a high degree of trust and credibility with relevant stakeholders, including HR Professionals and team members, managers, and staff
●Adept listening skills
●Attention to detail and strong organizational skills
●Proven ability to work in a fast paced, deadline driven and highly visible environment
●Experience in executive recruitment and/or executive search process
●Demonstrated experience working in and fostering a diverse faculty, staff and student environment or commitment to do so as a staff member at VCU

Preferred Qualifications

●Experience working in a higher education setting
●Experience sourcing and recruiting for a variety of professions, for example, healthcare, research, pharmaceutics, etc.
●Experience working for a staffing or recruitment firm
