Description: Per course adjunct faculty for the Preliminary Administrative Services Credential program's course, EDAD 331-01.

EDAD 331-01 - Employment Management & Supervision
Fridays: April 9, 2021, April 23, 2020, May 7, 2020, 5:00pm-9:00pm
Saturdays: April 10, 2020, April 24, 2020, May 8, 2020, 8:30am-5:00pm
This course presents key organizational theories critical to understanding how to lead organizations to support growth and change in schools with a strong focus on equity and social justice. Students will become familiar with the processes and structures for effective human resource management and budgeting. The course will also cover topics related to running K-12 schools in accordance with federal and state law and district policy. Finally, candidates will delve into the conditions and practices necessary to cultivate a safe and productive learning and working environment through ethics, integrity and professionalism.
Required Qualifications
Candidates must have a master’s degree or doctorate in education, educational leadership, teaching leadership, or a related field. At least three years of experience in an administrative role as a school-based leader or work experience in a TK-12 setting.
Familiarity with online modalities.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience teaching at the higher education level. Familiarity with the California Administrative Performance Assessment (CalAPA). Deep knowledge of organizational leadership in K-12 schools. Experience with human resource management and budgeting in K-12 schools. A demonstrated commitment to teaching excellence and equity, which ensures candidates understand pedagogical approaches that recognize the importance of supporting all students - especially students from historically underserved communities.
