Assistant Professor of Engineering; full-time tenure track position, beginning Fall 2021

Ph.D. in Engineering is preferred with relevant work experience and three to five years of university level teaching experience. Applicants must be able to teach classes offered for Pitt-Bradford’s two-year engineering transfer programs. Experience working with college students from diverse backgrounds and applied experience in the field of expertise is required.

At the University of Pittsburgh-Bradford campus, we currently offer the first two years of several engineering disciplines including civil and environmental, material science, mechanical, electrical and computer engineering. Successful students are eligible to apply for transfer to the University of Pittsburgh (main campus) to complete their B.S. degrees. Pitt-Bradford will implement new B.S. degree programs in Energy Engineering Technology and Mechanical Engineering Technology in the Fall of 2022. Design work is underway for new campus facilities to house these programs. The successful candidates also will be involved in planning and purchasing lab equipment and launching the new majors.

Apply online at https://www.join.pitt.edu/.  Submit letter of application, CV, and names and contact information for three references.  For full consideration, applicants must submit complete application packages. Applications will be reviewed upon receipt.

Pitt-Bradford is a beautiful, friendly campus with an emphasis on teaching. While faculty have the advantage of the expansive resources and research opportunities available through the University of Pittsburgh system, they also enjoy one-on-one contact with their students in a secure, personalized environment. Women and applicants from traditionally underrepresented populations are strongly encouraged to apply. Individuals with experience in a setting committed to multiculturalism and/or campus diversity are of particular interest. www.upb.pitt.edu/faculty-search-information
