Job Description

Candidates are expected to contribute significantly to the faculty program development, successful candidates will be responsible in duties includes: (i) teaching at undergraduate level; (ii) supervision and coordination of student’s professional practice or dissertations.

Associate Professor / Assistant Professor in English, teaching courses as below:

• English Grammar and Rhetoric
• Basic Skills of Translation

Associate Professor / Assistant Professor in Portuguese, teaching courses as below:

• Gramática da Língua Portuguesa
• Prática de Redacção em Língua Portuguesa
• Língua Portuguesa

Job Qualifications

• A PhD degree in the area of English/Portuguese, Translation or other  relevant fields;
• An outstanding record of internationally-recognized research is preferred;
• Years of teaching experience in higher education institution is preferred;
• Preference will be given to Macau residents.

Remuneration

The remuneration and appointment rank offered will be competitive and commensurate with the successful applicants’ academic qualifications, current position and professional experience. The compensation/benefits are completive. The current local maximum income tax rate in Macao is 12% but is effectively around 5% - 7% after various discretionary exemptions.
