The Glenn Korff School of Music in the Hixson-Lied College of Fine and Performing Arts at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln is seeking applications for the position of Assistant Professor of Voice.

Duties and responsibilities:
Teaching: Teach applied voice, recruit and maintain a studio of outstanding graduate and undergraduate students (voice performance and music education), supervise graduate theses, dissertations, and recitals; teach courses in diction, repertoire, pedagogy, and other courses as determined by the needs of the School of Music.

Research/Creative Activities: Develop and maintain national/global profile in voice performance and/or pedagogy.

Service: Serve on faculty committees (School, College, and University), serve in professional organizations (NATS, College Music Society, etc.) and work in a collaborative and collegial fashion with faculty, staff, students, and administration.

Other: Perform additional duties as assigned by the Director of the Glenn Korff School of Music.

Minimum Required Qualifications

• Doctoral degree completed by the first day of employment, i.e., Monday, August 16, 2021.
• Collegiate teaching experience
• Evidence of recruiting ability

Preferred Qualifications

• Commercial Contemporary Music teaching/performing experience
• Experience in the mentoring and advising of first-generation students and a diverse student body.
