General Summary/Purpose
Under the supervision of the Principal Investigator, the Research Program Coordinator will be responsible for the coordination of multiple US-based research and evaluation studies focused on gender-based violence prevention and response. The position requires a high level of accuracy and organization in planning and monitoring, maintaining compliance with established procedures, scheduling and coordinating with stakeholders and collaborators, and other administrative responsibilities. Experience preferred with diverse populations and stakeholders, and core concepts in gender-based violence and trauma-informed care. This position will require some local, national and/or international travel, to visit study sites and/or study partners for the purposes of planning, data collection and/or dissemination.
Specific Duties & Responsibilities
Coordination:• Responsibilities include coordination, execution, close monitoring and related assistance of research projects. • Supervise student research assistants (~3) towards these goals •Work on studies requiring a high level of knowledge & coordination •Establish study calendar of various protocols and coordinate the logistics needed for successful completion of the studies. •Track the progress of project deliverables and study implementation. • Meet regularly with Principal Investigator and collaborators to review data accuracy and overall study progress • Responsible for coordinating and monitoring the course and collection of research data on participants • Work on problem recognition/resolution, accuracy of data gathered and participant well-being, completion and collection of regulatory documents required by sponsors •Organize study materials and meetings • Act as a liaison with satellite sites. • Coordinate with collaborators for subject recruitment and assist with maintaining IRB approvals/renewals at these collaborating centers. •Assist in the development and implementation of Standard Operating Procedures and tools for various protocols. • Assist with participant screening, consenting and verification of eligibility and data collection• Participate in student staff training and supervision on research protocols and procedures •Design and compile materials to aid staff in complying with protocol requirements •Monitor recruitment, enrollment and follow-up schedules for multiple research studies. • Coordinate the collection and documentation of participant information for research purposes, including enrollment and retention records and logs on paper and databases • Procedures to ensure integrity of data collected • Participate in and or organize community and scholarly events to for dissemination
Data Management: • Data management including cleaning, development, implementation and maintenance of enrollment logs, and light analysis • Assist with preparation of data for reports and presentations • Respond in a timely manner to special projects or queries related to data • Design and implement procedural adjustments to increase accuracy and efficiency of data collection and entry process • Ensure accuracy and timeliness of data collection. •Interact regularly and helps facilitate the completion of work with members of the research team regarding data management and the status and progress of ongoing studies
Scholarly Activities: • Assist with development of grants, progress reports and study protocols •Assist with writing manuscripts and abstracts for publication •Assist administratively with submission of abstracts and manuscripts on behalf of study teams •Assist with background information for research studies such as literature reviews •Editing/writing related to project deliverables, including but not limited to research reports, manuscripts, factsheets/briefs, IRB protocols and funding proposals.
Regulatory compliance:• Develop research protocols, standard operating procedures, and corresponding applications for IRB/human subjects review •Prepare and submit annual renewal requests, amendments and safety reports according to IRB requirements • Document adverse events and protocol deviations Ensure proper informed consent procedures are followed for each research subject.

Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in related
discipline. Some related experience required. Additional related
experience may substitute for required education, to the extent
permitted by the JHU equivalency formula.
Prior work experience in a research or practice environment is also
valued. Must understand and pass all Johns Hopkins online Human
Research certification courses.
JHU Equivalency Formula:30 undergraduate degree credits (semester hours) or 18 graduate degree credits may substitute for one year of experience. Additional related experience may substitute for the required education on the same basis. For jobs where equivalency is permitted, up to two years of non-related college course work may be applied towards the total minimum education/experience required for the respective job. *
Preferred Qualifications
Master’s degree in public health or related field preferred.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, ability to work as part of a team and also independently, proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and meticulous record keeping. This position requires some domestic and local travel. Proficiency with STATA and Atlas is preferred. Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail skills required. Ability to follow multiple, detailed directions. Must have excellent time management skills.
