Assistant/Associate Professor - School of Pharmacy
The West Virginia University School of Pharmacy is seeking an outstanding candidate for a full-time faculty position in Pharmaceutical Sciences. This is an exciting opportunity and the position is a 12-month, tenure-track position at the assistant or associate professor level. The School of Pharmacy is located in the comprehensive Health Sciences Center with excellent opportunities for collaborations with scientists and clinicians in medical and pharmaceutical sciences, engineering, physics, and chemistry. The School offers interdisciplinary PhD research training programs in biomedical sciences and a professional PharmD program. The School is ranked in the top twenty percent of all schools/colleges of pharmacy as reported in US News and World Reports and admits a student body which consistently ranks in the top ten percent of all schools/colleges as determined by entering GPA.
PhD, PharmD, MD, or equivalent degree with a research experience in some or all of the following: bio-responsive nanoparticles, injectable hydrogel-based delivery systems and sustained delivery strategies, therapeutic peptide delivery, vaccine/biologic formulations, cell-laden drug delivery systems, designing theranostics, formulation, stability testing, lyophilization and the ability to evaluate formulations using in vitro, ex vivo and in vivo- techniques. Previous teaching experience in pharmacy related areas is highly desirable. The candidate must demonstrate significant potential to obtain extramural funding.
