Position Summary

The Department of Economics in the Terry College of Business at the University of Georgia seeks qualified applicants for up to 2 full-time tenure track or tenured positions at the assistant, associate, or full professor level, with an anticipated employment start date of August 1, 2021.

Additional Requirements

Candidates must hold a Ph.D. in economics or a related discipline, from an AACSB accredited institution or international equivalent, at the time of appointment. A research record commensurate with rank is required for all candidates. To be eligible for tenure on appointment, candidates must be appointed as an associate or full professor, have been tenured at a prior institution, and bring a demonstrably national reputation to the institution. Candidates must be approved for tenure upon appointment before hire.

Relevant/Preferred Education, Experience, Licensure, and/or Certification

Assistant level candidates should show promise of moving toward excellence in teaching. Demonstrated excellence in teaching economics at the graduate and/or undergraduate level is also required to be considered at the Associate and Full Professor level.

Preferred Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and/or Competencies

We have a strong preference for candidates with an interest in applied econometrics.
