The Division of Pulmonary, Critical Care & Sleep Medicine, College of Medicine is seeking a Postdoctoral Associate to conduct research in mucosal immunology in the laboratory of Dr. Jennifer Mulligan. The primary responsibility of this position is to conduct studies with human samples as well as murine models to gain a better understating of the immunopathology of chronic sinusitis and its interplay with other comorbidities such as asthma and olfactory loss. A significant focus of the laboratory is to better understand the role of epithelial cell dysfunction in chronic airway inflammation. The selected individual will receive strong mentoring to promote scientific growth and development.
Ph.D. degree in immunology or equivalent with experience working with mouse models, tissue culture and/or human clinical samples. Successful applications must be able to work as a member of a research team composed of scientist, clinicians, students, clinical research coordinators and industry partners. The candidate should have the ability to individually implement and conduct experiments. Technical expertise in advanced flow cytometry and cell sorting is required. A proven record of verbal and written communication is necessary. Salary will be commensurate with experience.
Ph.D. degree in immunology or equivalent with experience working with mouse models, tissue culture and/or human clinical samples.
