Job Summary/Basic Function
Serve as an faculty member in the Department of Health Professions
Teach courses in the CAATE -accredited Professional athletic training program as well as in the Department of Health Professions that is determined by expertise and availability
Assist with student recruitment and academic advising
Assist with athletic training program evaluation and development as directed by the department chair or the program director
Serve as the athletic training lab coordinator
Collaborate with students and faculty in the School of Health Sciences, as well as other appropriate departments across the University
Liberty University is a strong Evangelical Christian University, all faculty members are yearly contracted. Liberty University is a non-tenure granting University
Minimum Qualifications
Earned doctorate degree (PhD, EdD)
Board of Certification Certified Athletic Trainer in good standing
Eligible to obtain Virginia Athletic Training Licensure
The candidate is expected to establish and maintain a positive working relationship within Liberty University, the Department of Health Professions and medical community
Candidates must be able to support and promote the university’s mission
Preferred Qualifications
Minimum of Two years of collegiate-level teaching experience, preferably in an accredited graduate and/or undergraduate accredited athletic training program is desired.
Experience teaching Clinical Anatomy and Physiology, Evidence-Based Research, Upper Extremity Injury Evaluation
Record of high quality athletic training teaching
Established independent research agenda and record of quality publications in peer-reviewed journals
Record of student research mentoring
