Florida Atlantic University in Boca Raton, FL is seeking an Instructional Technology Coordinator. Responsible for creating multi-modal visual experiences for immersive online higher education content and reusable learning objects housed on the web utilizing web API and JavaScript and in the Canvas LMS. Responsible for designing a brand identity system, advertising campaign utilizing user-centered design and modern web development. Responsible for creating User Experience Design workflows including: research, analysis, strategy, agile workflow, mockup, prototyping, and production. Teach faculty how to adopt technology into their online teaching practice and present faculty training sessions for topics such as using Design Thinking for Course Design and Design Thinking for Media Creation. Advanced web design and workflow automation using programming languages such as Javascript, Python, C++ for the promotion and delivery of online learning. Handling technical aspects of graphic design and video production utilizing Adobe Creative Suite, Affinity Designer, and Sketch, Figma, and Mirro. Create interactive applications and installations/devices using HTML5, Vue.js, Processing/P5.js, C++/Openframeworks, Arduino, XCode, Android Studio & SDK. Motion Graphic Design and Video Editing in higher education settings. Utilizing various multimedia tools including, but not limited to,  Blendr 3D, Web VR, ThreeJS, Camtasia, Articulate Storyline, Microsoft Office Suite, Web Conferencing tools including Skype for Business, Zoom, and WebEx.

 

Position requires a Master degree or higher from an accredited institution in Interactive Design or a closely related degree and three years of experience in the following: working with instructional technology for higher education distance learning; implementing graphic design skills to create multi-modal visual experiences for immersive online higher education content; designing a brand identity system and advertising/social media campaigns for higher education; and working with Javascript and C++ programming language for advanced web design.
