Job Description:
The Department of Psychological Science at Weber State University (http://weber.edu/psychology) invites applications for a tenure-track position in Clinical/Counseling Psychology at the Assistant Professor rank.


Job Duties:
Candidates should have the ability to teach the following courses: Introduction to Psychology, Psychology of Human Relationships, Abnormal Psychology, Child and Adolescent Psychopathology, and Theories of Personality.


Required Qualifications:
Minimal requirements are a PhD or PsyD by the appointment date, July 1, 2021 in clinical or counseling psychology. Strong ABDs will be considered.


Preferred Qualifications:
Preference will be given to candidates who are committed to teaching excellence and to engaging undergraduate students in research and/or practicum experiences. Strong preference to candidates with licensure or ability to attain licensure in Utah.

Weber State University is located in Ogden, Utah, 35 miles north of Salt Lake City, at the foot of the Wasatch Mountains. The area is rich in year-round outdoor recreational activities, with Snowbasin (Olympic skiing venue) less than 20 minutes away.

Physical Requirements of this position: Light work. Exerting up to 20 lbs of force occasionally and/or up to 10 lbs of force frequently and/or a negligible amount of force constantly to move objects. Use of arm and/or leg controls exerting forces greater than that for sedentary work.

Visual Acuity Requirements including color, depth perception and field of vision: Required to perform activities such as preparing and analyzing data and figures; transcribing; using a computer terminal; extensive reading.

The conditions the worker will be subject to in this position: None. The worker is not substantially exposed to adverse environmental conditions (such as in typical office or administrative work).
