Westminster College invites applications for the position of Assistant Professor of Biology, with an emphasis in the biology of human health, to begin in August 2021. The teaching assignment will include lower-division courses in genetics or cell biology and upper-division courses, such as cancer cell biology, development, comparative anatomy and physiology, and/or immunology. We seek an excellent teacher with demonstrated ability to facilitate active student engagement and a commitment to a liberal arts education. We hope to collaborate with an energetic colleague who will participate actively in the work of our program and ongoing development of our innovative curriculum. A Ph.D. degree in a biomedical field is required. There are also opportunities to develop engaging non-majors courses. We particularly seek candidates who have a strong interest in scholarship, which could include pedagogical research and/or mentoring students in undergraduate research at a small liberal arts college.

Required Qualifications:
  • D. in a biomedical field, completed no later than August, 2021.
