Nurse Practitioner (Staff)

The overall purpose of this position is to provide assessment, diagnosis, and treatment of illnesses and injuries to patients who present to the Student Health Center. Position will involve working with individuals with diverse backgrounds.

This position will assesses, diagnoses, and prescribes appropriate medications and treatment for illness and injuries. Provides health teaching and preventative health care and render first-aid services as needed. 

Excellent physical assessment skills. Ability to accurately diagnose illnesses/injuries. Complex knowledge of appropriate testing and treatments to order for illnesses/injuries. Complex knowledge of medications, their actions, interactions, and possible reactions.
