Tenure-track position at Assistant Professor level beginning
late August 2021. Ph.D. required by June 2021. Salary competitive
and consistent with level of experience. The successful candidate
will join a growing Spanish program and teach a full-time load of
six courses per year ranging from introductory Spanish language to
more advanced courses in Spanish. We seek a teacher-scholar with
expertise and experience in applied Spanish linguistics, second
language acquisition, or sociolinguistics. The successful candidate
will be committed to curricular design that seeks to include
students with diverse affiliations with Spanish language and
cultures. Additional interest or expertise in Spanish for Specific
Purposes is a plus.

undergraduate teaching, a commitment to the liberal arts, a promise
of scholarly excellence, and a desire to involve undergraduates in
scholarship both inside and outside the classroom. Kalamazoo
