Adjunct Faculty, Continuing Education - Veterinary Assistant Instructor

Duties of Position: Adjunct Faculty instructors at College of DuPage are responsible for course planning and instruction in classroom, lab, or clinical settings, course may be conducted in various delivery modes, such as face-to-face, online, hybrid and/or blended formats. In addition, adjunct faculty are responsible for student evaluation, and timely and accurate submission of clincial settings, required paperwork related to instruction.

Qualifications:

• Master's Degree in Health Science discipline from an accredited college or university is preferred.
• Minimum Bachelor's Degree is required.
• Graduate of an accredited Veterinary Technician Program.
• Must be a registered Veterinary Technician.
• Must hold current Veterinary Technician certification.
• Minimum of two years work experience as a Veterinary Assistant.
• Ability to teach veterinary terminology, anatomy and physiology, proper restraining skills, emergency care, pre- and post-surgical skills.
• Prior college teaching experience is required.
• Experience in curriculum development strongly preferred.
