Associate Chair of Clinical Integration and Operations

Description

The Associate Chair of Clinical Integration and Operations is a full time position that will report directly to the Chair of Women's Health. The Associate Chair will play an integral leadership role in Departmental strategy and clinical operations.

Specific job responsibilities will include:
  • Provide leadership of clinical operations in the Department, with a focus on gynecology services
  • Co-lead the strategic planning process for clinical program development in the Department
  • Lead the design, implementation and iteration of value-based clinical care models in selected aspects of women's healthcare
  • Cultivate relationships with community providers, organizations and institutions in Austin as well as and public and private payors, with the goal of aligning operations with value
  • Lead the development and implementation of strategic quality and safety initiatives across the community
  • Initiate and enable various clinical practice models for faculty and affiliated physicians within the community
  • Develop metrics and performance evaluation processes for providers clinical contribution
  • Collaborate with other schools at the University of Texas at Austin and across the University of Texas system to generate multidisciplinary and inter-professional value-based care opportunities
  • Assess new technologies and techniques in terms of their contribution to improving value in clinical care
  • Collaborate with Associate Chairs of Investigation and Discovery and Education to ensure cohesive, mutually reinforcing initiatives
  • Represent the Department in key clinical decision-making bodies within the Dell Medical School and with affiliates
  • Collaborate with Associate Chairs of Clinical Integration and Operations in other Dell Medical School Departments on cross-cutting initiatives

Qualifications

Required qualifications:
  • Medical degree from an accredited medical school;
  • Board certification in obstetrics and gynecology;
  • Eligible for appointment as an associate professor or professor;
  • Substantial record of leadership and achievement in academic medicine;
  • Evidence of scholarly productivity.

Preferred qualifications:
  • Leadership experience within obstetrics and gynecology;
  • Experience with value-based care delivery and integrated practice models.
