Applications are invited for a non-tenure track faculty position as an Associate for one to three years to perform research on metabolic pathways regulated by mitochondrial transporters and other projects at the principle investigator’s discretion. A doctoral degree is required. Previous experience operating gas chromatography and liquid chromatography mass spectrometers, analyzing and biologically interpreting metabolomic data, a strong background in mitochondrial function and metabolism, genetic models of loss of mitochondrial transporter function, biochemistry, molecular genetics, and mouse handling and colony maintenance and 4 to 6 years of relevant postdoctoral experience is required. Research experience with enzymatic assays, techniques for measuring mitochondrial respiration and membrane potential, HPLC, flow cytometry, and other analytical chemistry techniques is highly desired.
