UW System Title: Associate Lecturer Essential Job Functions
The University of Wisconsin-Green Bay, Austin E. Cofrin School
of Business, is currently seeking instructors to teach Auditing,
Intermediate Accounting, and Managerial Accounting. Managerial
Accounting is required of all Accounting and Business
Administration majors and minors, while Auditing and Intermediate
Accounting are upper-level Accounting courses.
This position includes the following responsibilities:
- Develop lesson plans from the course curriculum.
- Evaluate and document students' progress through testing, observation, and assessment of skills attained.
- Provide a stimulating environment that encourages student participation and learning.
- Maintain accurate records on all students, including attendance and course requirements.
- Organize and maintain time, space, supplies, and equipment for instruction.
- Master’s Degree in Accounting at time of application, or
- Master's Degree in any Business area with a Bachelor's degree in Accounting
The successful candidate will have strong oral, written, interpersonal, and organizational skills, the ability to communicate with a diverse student population, demonstrated integrity and strong leadership, and the willingness to be part of a collaborative team. Conditions Of Appointment Position requires teaching the course at the Green Bay campus and/or virtually on Canvas LMS. It is anticipated that the planning process will start December 2020, with actual course teaching in Spring 2021. Position is a part-time, temporary Academic Staff appointment. Official transcripts of the highest degree achieved will be required of finalist(s). A criminal conviction investigation will be conducted on the finalist(s).
