Description: The School of Nursing is seeking applications for a full-time tenure track Assistant Professor in the William Preston School of Nursing to begin January 2021. The Assistant Professor role includes teaching, service, advising, and scholarship. 

Minimum requirements: Candidates must hold an unencumbered South Carolina registered nurse license with a minimum of 2 years experience as a Registered Nurse.  The minimum education requirement for appointment to this position is a Master of Science in Nursing.  Candidates must possess experience in Medical Surgical Nursing within the last 5 years.  Preferential consideration given to those with prior didactic and/or clinical instruction and public health experience.  Candidates must possess a current BLS certification.  Must have strong skills in providing excellent customer service and demonstrate strong ethics. A valid driver's license and safe driving history are required.

Knowledge, skills and abilities: Good communication and people skills; demonstrated skill in the use of computer technology to conduct and support administrative, teaching, and scholarly activities.

Closing Date: Priority will be given to applicants whose files are complete by November 12, 2020 and review will continue until the position is filled.

Hire range: $47,000-$49,000
