Position Description
The Department of Health, Exercise Science and Recreation Management (HESRM) at The University of Mississippi is seeking applications for a 9-month, tenure-track, assistant/associate professor position. We encourage applications from candidates with strong research/scholarly publication records, research grant procurement, and academic achievement. Primary teaching responsibilities will include Public Health areas such as Health Disparities, Environmental Health, Rural Health, Epidemiology, Health Policy, and/or Social Determinants of Health. The chosen applicant is expected to begin August 2021 and appointment will include research, teaching, and service.

Minimum Qualifications:
- Doctoral Degree in Public Health or Health related field by the time of employment.
- Evidence of a strong research agenda in health and potential for securing competitive, extramural research funding.
Preferred Qualifications:
- A strong preference to someone holding a MPH degree
- Evidence of successful community engagement including the ability to develop and maintain partnerships with relevant health agencies.
- Previous experience with program accreditation (CEPH)
- Evidence of successful technology integration in course delivery
- CHES or CPH certification
