Purpose of Position

To manage an assigned recruitment territory that requires developing and maintaining contacts with guidance counselors, organizations, agencies and clubs for the purposes of recruiting students. Requires travel during and after normal business hours to represent the university at recruitment events and activities.

Counsel students and parents about post-secondary educational options and recruit them to NKU ; conduct individual and group information sessions and provide occasional tours of campus; represent NKU at high school and college day/night programs; assist in the development and editing of publications; assist in overall planning, leadership, and functions of the Office of Admissions and assist with general recruitment and admissions office duties. Will evaluate freshmen student applicants and make admissions decisions.

Primary Responsibilities

Manage a recruitment territory that requires developing and maintaining contacts with guidance counselors, organizations, agencies and clubs for the purposes of recruiting students. Requires travel during and after normal business hours to represent the university at recruitment events and activities. Update and run required CRM / SAP reports to manage territory.

Provide pre-admissions counseling to students/families who call the office, attend an on campus or off campus event, or who walk in the office.

Develop and maintain relationships with key constituents across campus. Serve as the primary contact person for NKU departments and employees for questions related to campus visit opportunities.

Reply to student/parent inquiries via email and phone calls.

Conduct recruitment presentations on and off campus.

Update, as needed, recruitment presentations.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree required.

Experience in working with event planning/promotion, customer service and volunteer organization. Student involvement as an undergraduate or graduate student.

Driver’s license and reliable transportation are required.

Expertise event planning skills. Excellent presentation skills, communication and collaboration skills.
