Job Summary
The Associate Business Analyst (BA) is a technical design and implementation resource in the Office of Enrollment Management, who works with key stakeholders to improve the quality of delivered products and services. The BA will analyze and document complex business processes and requirements and translate those into executable, functional and technical system design solutions in support of the University processes and services. The BA will assist with integration and acceptance testing, support of development of training and implementation materials. Will participate in implementation and post implementation support.
Essential Functions
The work of the Information Technology Specialist will vary depending on the needs of the organization and the competencies of the individual and will range from providing assistance and/or providing Tier I support to leading projects and/or providing high-level technical expertise on highly complex matters.
1. Formulates and defines the scope and objectives of systems through research and fact-finding combined with an understanding of applicable business systems and industry standards;
2. Creates and modifies moderately complex information systems to include analysis of business and user needs, documenting requirements, and revising existing system logic difficulties as necessary;
3. Determines and recommends programs required for optimal problem solution within cost and performance objectives;
4. Participates in requirements planning and feasibility determination;
5. Performs analyses and prepares reports in order to ensure that programs meet or exceed schedule commitments;
6. Functions in project capacities including, but not limited to, requirements, functional design, functional configuration, testing, and documentation;
7. Administers an Admissions CRM . Duties include report writing, data manipulation and assisting functional users; and
8. Perform other duties as assigned by the IT Manager.

Minimum Skills and Abilities
No unusual physical requirements. Requires no heavy lifting and nearly all work is performed in comfortable indoor facility.
