Position Function

Responsible for all visa and immigration services for international students and scholars and for ensuring that the unversity is in compliance with all federal rules and regulations.

Minimum Education

Master’s degree from an accredited institution by date of appointment.

Minimum Experience

At least five years of progressively responsible experience in higher education in international student and scholar support services, including visa and immigration services.

At least three years of experience as a Designated School Official.

At least five years of supervisory experience.

At least five years of experience working and living with people from different cultures preferably in an international setting.

Minimum Other

Expertise and knowledge to serve as PDSO and RO.

Ability to provide strategic planning and leadership.

Excellent communication skills.

Ability to be a team-player and serve as a member of the RCIP senior leadership team.

Authorization to work in the US

Candidates for searches must have current authorization to be employed in the U.S. without employer sponsorship.

Preferred Education

Preferred Experience

Work experience in a large, public university.

At least five years of experience working collaboratively with multiple offices/units/departments and colleges.

Preferred Other

Familiarity with Banner, experience with Immigration Case Management software (fsaATLAS, Sunapsis); proficiency in a second language; past DSO experience.

Pre-Employment Screening

Requires successful completion of a background check and education verification.
