Applications are invited for appointment as Post-doctoral Fellow in Population Immunity to Influenza in the School of Public Health (Ref.: 502372), to commence as soon as possible for two years, with the possibility of renewal.

Applicants should possess a Ph.D. degree with a very strong background in infectious disease epidemiology and public health. They should have a keen interest in designing and conducting epidemiological studies on infectious disease epidemiology, particularly on immunity to influenza after natural infections and vaccinations. They should have excellent communication skills, experience in knowledge sharing, a good record of research output, and the ability to work independently as well as in a multidisciplinary team. Experience in conducting school- or community-based studies would be an advantage.

The appointee will research on the epidemiology of influenza, COVID-19 and other infectious diseases. He/She will be involved in all research processes, including grant applications, research planning and implementation, supervision of junior research staff and postgraduate students, data analysis, report and paper writing, and development of his/her own research programme.
