The American University of Ras Al Khaimah (AURAK) Department of Computer Science and Engineering is currently seeking a faculty member at the Assistant or Associate Professor level beginning spring 2021. Candidates for this position must hold a PhD in Computer Science and must have demonstrated the potential for excellence in teaching, research, and service. The successful candidate is expected to teach the following courses: compiler design, database systems, operating systems, programming languages, and formal methods. Knowledge of data science, artificial intelligence, and games design is a plus.

Required Qualifications:

• Doctoral degree in Computer Science from an accredited institution of higher education
• Effective oral and written English communication skills
• Commitment to excellence in teaching, including the use of high-impact educational practices, and excellence in scholarship
• Interest and experience in working effectively with a diverse student population
• Ability and willingness to work collaboratively with faculty from a variety of disciplines
• Experience with ABET accreditation requirements
• University teaching experience

The American University of Ras Al Khaimah (AURAK) Department of Computer Science and Engineering is currently seeking a faculty member at the Assistant or Associate Professor level beginning January 2021. Candidates for this position must hold a PhD in Computer Engineering and have demonstrated the ability or potential for excellence in teaching, research, and service. The successful candidate is expected to teach the following courses: computer architecture, computer organization, microprocessors, and embedded systems. Knowledge of robotics, internet of things, network security, and machine learning is a plus.

The Department of Computer Science and Engineering at the American University of Ras Al Khaimah offers three four-year accredited Bachelor of Science Degrees: Computer Science, Computer Engineering, and Artificial Intelligence & Data Science.
