Assistant Professor of Accounting

The Department of Accounting, Finance and Economics at Tarleton State University invites applications for a full-time, tenure-track position in Accounting at the Assistant or Associate Professor level beginning in the Fall 2021. The position would have responsibility to teach at both the undergraduate and graduate level (e.g. MBA, Master of Accountancy).

Applicants should have a doctorate in accounting from an AACSB accredited institution. ABD status may be considered as long as all degree requirements, including dissertation, defense of dissertation, and comprehensive examinations, have been successfully completed by September 2021.

Candidates will be eligible for the rank of assistant professor with demonstrated ability in the discipline and show clear promise of teaching excellence as evidenced in evaluation by peers, department head, and college dean; demonstrated continuing scholarly contribution beyond that required for completion of the terminal degree; and documented yearly progress of professional achievement in teaching, scholarship, and service.
