Head Coach, Cross Country/Track and Field 999395
The head coach oversees all activities of Xavier’s men’s and women’s cross country and track programs. Plans and directs training of student-athletes, and assesses individuals’ abilities and skill level to determine appropriate team position. Assists student-athletes in reaching highest athletic potential possible through athletic training, strength and conditioning, and leadership skill development while working closely with the Student Athlete Academic Success staff, Athletic Training staff, Strength and Conditioning staff, Compliance staff, and Athletic Communication staff.
- Must be knowledgeable and have a complete understanding of the NCAA rules and regulations and comply with NCAA Division I Bylaw 18.104.22.168 (Head Coach responsibility).
- A desire to recruit, teach, coach and mentor a group of diverse young men and women to rebuild Xavier’s program to compete at a high level within the BIG EAST Conference and Midwest Region.
- A team-oriented person who identifies being within the structure of a broad-based intercollegiate athletics program.
- Bachelor’s degree and cross country and/or track coaching experience at the NCAA level required.
