Job Summary
Johnson County Community College is seeking Instructors for Welding. This part-time position will teach non-credit students with various levels of skills related to this subject as outlined:
• Oxy-Acetylene Cutting (OFC) and Welding (OFW)
• Shielded Metal Arc Welding (SMAW)
• Gas Metal Arc Welding (GMAW)
• Gas Tungsten Arc Welding (GTAW)
• Metallurgy
• Print Reading and Welding Symbols
Instruction is both lecture and hands-on.
Required Qualifications
-5 years of relevant work experience
-High School graduate or equivalent
Preferred Qualifications
-AAS or Bachelor’s degree
-AWS – Certified Welding Instructor
-AWS – Certified Welding Inspector
-Experience working in a continuing education training environment
-Ability to work day, evenings, and/or weekend hours
-Ability to efficiently use Microsoft office products, especially PowerPoint
