ASSISTANT PROFESSOR OF INSTRUCTION, ASIAN AMERICAN STUDIES PROGRAM, OPEN FIELD

Northwestern University invites applications for an Assistant Professor of Instruction in the Asian American Studies Program. We seek an open-field candidate to teach core courses in Asian American Studies and both introductory and advanced seminars on topics emerging from their research areas. We are especially interested in those who are trained in Asian American Studies, Ethnic Studies, or other interdisciplinary fields. Responsibilities include: teaching six quarter-length courses annually (with possible course reductions for additional service); program building; and collaborating with Asian American Studies students and faculty. This is a non-tenure track, benefits eligible, full-time appointment starting September 1, 2021. Ph.D. is required by the start of the appointment. Preference will be given to candidates with teaching experience and who have demonstrated experience working with diverse student communities.
