Position Summary:

This position involves assisting with human subject research studies for the Wisconsin Physical Activity Epidemiology Lab in the Department of Kinesiology. Personal initiative, the ability to work in an independent and timely manner, strong organizational skills, and an interest in health behavior are essential for this position. This position will be working directly with study participants as well as within a team of researchers; therefore interpersonal skills are highly relevant to success.

Degree and Area of Specialization:

Bachelor's degree required, preferably in Kinesiology, Public Health, Psychology, Health Promotion, Health Education, or a related field. Master's degree in one of these fields preferred.

Minimum Years and Type of Relevant Work Experience:

One year of experience with human subjects research preferred, particularly in areas such as public health, obesity, nutrition, or physical activity research or interventions, psychology, kinesiology, and/or chronic disease management.
Ability to adhere to protocols and maintain attention to detail are critical.
Must have excellent interpersonal skills and enjoy working within a team and interacting with study participants.

Prefix assignment determined by years of relevant work experience. A minimum of 7 years' experience is required for appointment at the senior level.

Additional Information:

This is a terminal position lasting one year. There is a possibility it may be extended up to a total appointment of two years, or made renewable if there is a need for an ongoing appointment and/or funding becomes available.

The successful applicant will be responsible for ensuring eligibility for employment in the United States on or before the effective date of the appointment.
