We are currently seeking aSenior Student Services Advisorto join our incredible, collaborative community at our Flinders St Campus in the heart of Melbourne CBD.

On a typical day in this role you will:

  • Supervise a small team of Student Services Advisers and oversee, where applicable, compliance with Torrens University and legislative policies
  • Ensure that outstanding customer service is provided to staff, students, prospective students and the broader campus community via a “one-stop-shop”
  • Plan and deliver student transition and retention activities, including orientation, revival weeks and promotion of workshops, trips, seminars and other events, working with the Success Coaches, Library, Learning and Technology hub and the academic community
  • Develop engaging, timely and relevant campus content for each study period, via campus portals, publications, social, digital and local campaigns
  • Communicate effectively and appropriately with the campus community about student admin and support processes and services, and provide admin support to other teams as required

  • This is aPermanent Full Timeposition based at ourFlinders StCampus

    To be successful in the SeniorStudent Service Advisorposition you will have:

  • Outstanding customer service and interpersonal skills with positive can-do attitude
  • Experience in managing a team and tracking tasks to ensure service delivery and continuous improvement
  • Superb team player with the ability to relate to a diverse range of people and cultures
  • Adaptable and proactive with excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Proven organisational skills with an ability to multi-task and meet deadlines while working under pressure
  • Proficiency in Microsoftapplications;Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint
  • Tertiary qualifications and/or previous work experience within an education environment is highly desirable but not essential

  • Enthusiastic and creative, you thrive in a dynamic team environment, where every day is different. Given the nature of this full time student facing role, a successful candidate will need to be resilient and have strong resolution skills.
