Assistant/Associate Professor Faculty Position in Environmental Engineering
The Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering at Valparaiso University invites applications for a tenure-track/tenured faculty position in Environmental Engineering at the Assistant or Associate Professor level (https://www.valpo.edu/college-of-engineering/).

Valparaiso University’s undergraduate-only College of Engineering offers an ABET-accredited BS Civil Engineering degree and a new BS Environmental Engineering degree. The first student cohort for our Environmental Engineering program enrolled in Fall 2019 and will graduate in Spring 2023. Our current civil and environmental engineering enrollment combined is approximately 100 students. The College of Engineering at Valpo is currently ranked tied for 13th in Engineering Programs (non-doctoral) in the 2020 U.S. News Rankings.
The successful candidate will be passionate about teaching engineering undergraduate students, developing courses and labs that enhance the environmental engineering program and civil engineering program curriculum, and pursuing scholarly activities in their field. They will also be able to interact and effectively communicate with students and faculty from diverse backgrounds. The successful candidate will teach required and elective courses in environmental engineering, capstone design, and general engineering courses, plus be actively engaged in research and campus citizenship activities. Candidates should have an earned doctorate and a bachelor’s degree in environmental engineering, civil engineering or a closely related field.
