Director of Institutional Grants
The Office of Development and Alumni Relations at Hiram College invites applications for the position of Director of Institutional Grants. We are seeking a dynamic and committed professional to serve in this position.
Hiram College, established in 1850 as the Western Reserve Eclectic Institute, is a nationally respected private residential liberal arts college located 30 miles from Cleveland in the historic Western Reserve region of Ohio. At Hiram, close student-faculty interaction and innovation are routine. The College's distinctive academic calendar, the Hiram Plan, offers students the opportunity each semester for a 3-week intensive course, study abroad/away program, internship, or research experience.
The Director of Institutional Grants will work collaboratively with colleagues across campus to secure external funds from various sources: foundations, state and federal government, and corporate giving programs. These funds will be used to launch and support the existing and emerging campus priorities. This is a full-time 12-month position reporting to the Vice President for Development and Alumni Relations.
Qualifications include a bachelor’s degree and a minimum of four years of fundraising experience in corporate, foundation, and/or government relations preferred. The ideal candidate must have excellent written and oral communication skills, value collaboration, and be able to manage multiple projects at one time. Title and compensation will be commensurate with experience.
