Assistant Professor - Clinical Psychology
The Department of Psychology at Louisiana State University anticipates filling a tenure track assistant professor position within the Clinical Psychology program effective August 2021. This appointment will be full-time (nine-month). Candidates with a background in pediatric neuropsychology will be asked to contribute to existing graduate training specializations in clinical neuropsychology and clinical child psychology. Candidates with the potential to strengthen our commitment to diversity and inclusion are highly desirable.
This position will be part of the APA-Accredited doctoral program in Clinical Psychology, which endorses a model of training that places a strong emphasis on clinical research. Thus, the person in this position is expected to maintain a strong research program with potential for extramural funding in any area related to pediatric neuropsychology that makes an important contribution to the field. The position will also need to contribute in important ways to the teaching and service mission of the department. Access to technology to support research in neuropsychology and neuroscience (e.g., EEG/ERP and fMRI) are available in the department and through collaboration with a nearby institution within the LSU System, the Pennington Biomedical Research Center. The department also houses a psychological clinic which can support clinical research activities, including those related to neuropsychological assessment. Many faculty members also maintain active clinical or research partnerships with area hospitals and schools.

A Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology, or a closely related field, with strong potential for establishing an active research program.
Preference will be given to candidates who are license eligible in Louisiana and can supervise students in a clinical practicum. Preference will also be given to those with training in Pediatric Neuropsychology who can teach courses related to pediatric neuropsychology as well as applicants how can strengthen our commitment to diversity.
