Under general supervision directs and coordinates activities for the Houston Louis Stokes STEMP Pathways and Research Alliance, which is a multi-institutional NSF, sponsored programs to increase numbers of baccalaureate degrees granted to underrepresented minorities in science, mathematics, engineering and technology in the greater Houston and San Marco areas.

This is a Grant Funded position.

Essential Duties Summary

• Directs and coordinates program activities, personally or through subordinate personnel.
• Directs administration of program budgets and oversees preparation of program reports.
• Directs the documentation, evaluation and dissemination of program outcomes.
• Maintains communications among institutions and committees and coordinates multi-institutional discussions.
• Oversees the administration of student recruitment initiatives alliance wide.
• Coordinates fundraising activities for the program, which includes solicitation of contributions.
• Promotes the program with the local school districts, university faculty, corporate and institutional media representative, and the public.
• Attends all meetings of the inter-institutional Starring Committee and Governing Board.
• Directs development and maintenance of program database, website and Learning Information Centers at each institution.
• Performs other job-related duties as assigned.



Hiring Range $63,840.00 - $79,801.00 Education

Bachelor’s degree (general business management) or higher preferred.

Master’s Degree also preferred.
