Position Summary:
The Department of Medical Sciences of the University of Wisconsin-Madison, School of Veterinary Medicine invites applications for a Clinical Instructor in Neurology for a one year appointment. The position may be extended to a maximum of two years.
Principal Duties:
The candidate will primarily participate in the clinical service activity of the small animal neurology service, including shared surgical coverage with neurology and orthopedic services. The successful applicant will be expected to provide up to an equivalent of 38 weeks of clinical service per annum.
The candidate will be expected to be involved in the clinical teaching of professional students, residents and interns, maintain and build excellent relationships with referring DVMs, actively participate in didactic and laboratory instruction of veterinary students, be actively involved in case rounds and serve as a mentor to interns and residents.
Collaborative research opportunities will also be encouraged.

Degree and Area of Specialization:
DVM (or equivalent) required; Board certification or eligibility in the American College of Veterinary Internal Medicine/Neurology strongly preferred, or European College of Veterinary Neurology
Minimum Years and Type of Relevant Work Experience:
Residency training required; academic experience and/or relevant practice experience beyond residency training preferred.
License or Certificate:
Eligible to obtain licensure to practice veterinary medicine in Wisconsin.
