Duties Performed in the Usual Course of the Job

The position will teach courses in the Department of Mass Communication in the areas of multi-camera and single-camera production. The position is expected to serve on department committees, participate in departmental activities, assist with department and university projects as well as oversee activities in the production studios.

The successful candidate will have a good understanding of all phases of film and television production, will be active in their field, and will have a solid production portfolio of their own. The successful candidate will be well versed in, and possess hands-on experience in all phases of production including preproduction, cinematography, lighting, and editing. The successful candidate will have a hands-on experience with industry standard equipment (cameras, lights) and post-production software.

Educational Requirements for the Position

Master’s degree preferred, other degrees will be considered with commensurate experience.

Experience Required for the Position

Minimum of 2 years of production experience.
Teaching experience in higher education.
