The Electrical Engineering Department at San José State University seeks qualified candidates for a full-time tenure-track Assistant Professor position in the area of Embedded Systems.

Department Summary

The Electrical Engineering Department at SJSU has established a firm goal to provide a high-quality Electrical Engineering education to its students at both the undergraduate and graduate levels. The Department offers classroom instruction by the best-qualified EE faculty, hands-on experience in industry-sponsored state-of-the-art laboratories, and opportunities for industry internships. The Department has over 450 undergraduate and 400 graduate students.

Both EE undergraduate and graduate programs support students to obtain professional experience while taking classes. In conjunction with their classes, many students work as Instructional Student Assistants and Teaching Associates in the department, and EE interns in the Silicon Valley firms. Our graduates enjoy excellent career opportunities in a broad spectrum of theoretical and practical areas such as device physics, micro and nano electronics, analog electronics, integrated circuits, power electronics, energy systems, wireless communications, signal processing, network and network security, mobile network, microprocessors and computer systems, embedded systems, control, robotics, autonomous systems, machine learning, deep learning and quantum computing. The Electrical Engineering Department website is at: https://ee.sjsu.edu/
