Position Summary
The Postdoctoral Associate will provide assistive technology evaluations and trainings for students and adults with disabilities including those who are blind, have vision impairments, mobility impairments, cognitive impairments, and other types of disabilities. Training is provided in the use of a wide range of assistive technologies that include screen reading and magnification software, text to speech, speech recognition, note taking devices, organization and time management devices, scanning and materials accessibility, scanning devices and use of switches. You will conduct on-site evaluations and training as needed, and provide tech support in the use of multiple assistive technologies.
Key Accountabilities and Responsibilities
• Work with our team to implement a new fruit and vegetable incentive program for lower-income seniors and lead collection and analysis of mobile market purchasing data
• professional development activities such as conference presentation and manuscript preparation and independent pilot research
• involved in other lab research related to healthy food retail and physical activity
• interact with other faculty in the School of Public Health and Health Professions, the Center for Ingestive Behavior Research, the Jacobs School of Medicine and the School of Architecture and Planning

Minimum Qualifications
• Ph.D
• Training and experience in data analysis
• Experience with writing and publishing manuscripts
• Good communication, organization, time management, leadership, and problem-solving skills. Able to work collaboratively as part of a group as well as independently.
Preferred Qualifications
• Training in Nutritional Sciences, Epidemiology, Clinical Psychology or another field related to nutrition or health behavior.
• Experience working in healthy food retail or in a community-based research setting
• Experience working with SAS statistical software.
