Assistant Professor – Department of Communication Studies
The Department of Communication Studies at West Virginia University invites applications for a tenure-track Assistant Professor position beginning January 1, 2021 in organizational communication, broadly defined. Anticipated areas of teaching include: organizational communication, organizational culture, business and professional communication, and other areas consistent with departmental need and candidate interest. Our Department offers degrees at the BA, MA, and PhD levels.
WVU, located in Morgantown, is a comprehensive land grant university enrolling about 30,000 students in over 100 degree programs. Our Carnegie Classification is “Doctoral Universities: Highest Research Activity.”
Applicants must have a Ph.D. or equivalent degree in communication studies or a closely related field by the start date, an active social science research program with promise for regular publication and potential for external funding, and the ability to effectively teach large lecture classes.
