About the Opportunity:
To assist an ongoing research project on “Movement as vital sign in preterm infants”, the person will analyze long-term physiological recordings from preterm infants collected in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit. The research examines how spontaneous movements may affect respiratory activity, specifically cessations of breathing. This data analysis will use an algorithm to identify movements from the PPG signal and relate these movements to the respiratory signal.
Responsibilities:
Data analysis and visualizing data - 70%
Literature search - 15%
Written summary of completed tasks - 15%
Qualifications:
Satisfactory completion of this task will require a PhD in Bioengineering, with a focus on signal processing. Advanced programming abilities and experience in machine learning are required.
