Tenure-Track Faculty (Assistant/Associate/Full) in Accounting for AY 2021-2022

The Martin Tuchman School of Management at New Jersey Institute of Technology invites applications for a faculty position in accounting beginning in the 2021-2022 Academic Year. All professorship ranks will be considered commensurate with qualifications and accomplishments of the applicant (all ranks will proceed with the tenure process). Candidates must have earned their Ph.D. In accounting or closely associated academic area, preferably from an AACSB accredited school. We value a strong interest in audit & taxation and accounting innovation. Successful candidates must demonstrate a record of scholarly accomplishment and a commitment to contributing original research into leading peer-reviewed publications. In addition, the applicant should have the ability to teach the full array of accounting and related courses at the undergraduate and graduate levels. In addition, the candidate may be teaching at the Jersey City location and evenings and weekends. The successful candidate will also demonstrate their ability to be involved in our Accounting program beyond teaching and research, including as an advisor for Beta Gamma Sigma, outreach to accounting firms, organizing student competitions, curriculum improvement, and advising students on CPA requirements. Salary and benefits are competitive and commensurate with experience. The individual must have completed the Ph.D. at time of appointment in September 2021. 

ABOUT THE SCHOOL: The Martin Tuchman School of Management is accredited by the AACSB and offers an undergraduate program in business with concentrations in various business and management disciplines and a full range of graduate programs, including MS in Management, MBA, Executive MBA, and PhD in Business Data Science.

ABOUT THE UNIVERSITY: NJIT is a comprehensive public research university and the State of New Jersey’s Science and Technology University located in Newark, New Jersey and in close proximity to New York City. Today NJIT has a research budget of over $150 million, enrolls about 11,500 students, and grants approximately 2,200 degrees annually from baccalaureate to Ph.D. Five of its colleges and schools hire full-time faculty and grant degrees: Ying Wu College of Computing, College of Science and Liberal Arts, Newark College of Engineering, Hillier College of Architecture and Design, and Martin Tuchman School of Management. The university employs approximately 436 full-time faculty, including tenure/tenure-track, university lecturers, and research professors.
