Lecturer of Psychology

Department of Psychological Science

 

Kennesaw State University is now accepting applications for a nine-month, non-tenure track Lecturer of Psychology faculty position in the Department of Psychological Science beginning August 2021.

 

The lecturer will primarily support the department by instructing a multimodal mix of face-to- face, hybrid, and online courses in psychology at our two instructional sites (Kennesaw and Marietta). Courses taught will be based on candidate’s areas of expertise and program demand. Experience instructing a variety of undergraduate psychology courses is desirable; preference will be given to those who have experience teaching research methods and statistics. The typical teaching load is 27 credit hours per academic year. Courses are offered during day and evening hours. In addition to teaching, the lecturer is expected to hold office hours, attend department meetings, and engage in service to the department.

 

A master’s degree in psychology or closely related area, or its foreign equivalent, is required.

 

A doctoral degree in psychology or closely related area, or its foreign equivalent, is ideal. In addition, experience teaching undergraduate courses in psychology and the completion of an online certification program such as Quality Matters, or equivalent, are desired.
