West Virginia University School of Medicine, Department of Medicine, Section of Hematology/Oncology and the WVU Cancer Institute, are actively recruiting a Medical Director, Hematology/Oncology Physician (ranks available: Assistant Professor, Associate Professor, or Professor). The successful candidate will practice at Uniontown Hospital in Uniontown, Pennsylvania, a recent affiliate of WVU Medicine.

Duties: The successful candidate will practice in the areas of hematology/oncology. In addition to providing excellent patient care, the successful candidate may also be actively involved in the teaching of medical students, residents, and fellows. For appointment at the Associate Professor or Professor rank, it is expected that candidates will build and sustain an outstanding, extramurally supported research program. Opportunities to participate in clinical research as well as education may become available.

Qualifications: Applicants must have an MD or DO degree (the employer accepts foreign educational equivalent) and be eligible to obtain Pennsylvania and West Virginia medical licenses. Candidates must have completed an accredited internal medicine residency and hematology/oncology fellowship and be board eligible or board certified in hematology and/or oncology at the time of appointment. A minimum of two years of experience practicing hematology/oncology is required for this position. For appointment at the Associate Professor or Professor ranks, a demonstrated track-record of leadership, excellent communication skills, and publications in high-impact journals are required. All qualifications must be met by the time of appointment.
