The Department of Journalism in the College of Communication, Information, and Media has approximately 700 undergraduate majors and 100 graduate students. The department is housed in state-of-the-art facilities with the latest professional technology in the classrooms and labs (www.bsu.edu/journalism) including the Holden Strategic Communication Center and Unified Media Lab facilities, which are home to departmentally supported student media and strategic communication agencies.

Description
The Department of Journalism invites applications for part-time instructors. Instructors will be hired on an as needed basis to teach in spring (2021), and summer (2021), to teach courses in advertising, journalism, public relations, graphics and/or photojournalism.
Minimum Qualifications
Master’s degree from an accredited college or university in advertising, journalism, public relations, mass communications, or related field relevant to the classes taught by the date of appointment.
Master’s degrees in other disciplines with extensive professional media experience will also be considered.
Authorization to work in the US
Candidates for searches must have current authorization to be employed in the U.S. without employer sponsorship.
Preferred Qualifications
Terminal degree from an accredited college or university in advertising, journalism, public relations, mass communications, or related field relevant to the classes taught; five years teaching experience; three years professional media experience.
